When you have been pushed till you can’t be pushed any further.
When you cried and all the tears have dried off. When they have gossiped about you till they don’t have anything more to talk about you. When they have lied till there are no more lies to tell. When you have fought battles till you are left with no energy to fight anymore. When you have used the last flour and oil. Indeed when you have reached your end, when you are at zero and have hit rock bottom.
That’s when you join David the psalmist and say-:

Hear my cry O God
Lord put me on a rock that is higher than I
Be my shelter O Lord, my shield and my defender
And put me among those who are your inheritance and your friends.

And yes, there is that place you can call home. That place can only be under the wings of the Most High God, His name is Yahweh. David often times found himself in such a place. Here is how he reacted to such moments-:

Hear my cry, O God; Listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]. For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me, A strong tower against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance of those who fear Your name [with reverence]. You will prolong the king’s life [adding days upon days]; His years will be like many generations. He will sit enthroned forever before [the face of] God; Appoint lovingkindness and truth to watch over and preserve him. So I will sing praise to Your name forever, Paying my vows day by day.

Those who know their God can get comfort in knowing that our God will never leave us or forsake us. He will be there till the end of time. Be encouraged and go for bigger and new things, a new dawn! It shall be so because He who has said so is faithful.
