Unconditional love

Today I want to talk about love that covers a multitude of sins. It does this because it has the power to forgive. And when it forgives it forgets! Don’t we all wish to experience that love?

The first person to demonstrate this love was Christ when he died on the cross. Not only did he carry the sins of the world but he asked the Father to ” Forgive them”. The love we find more often than not is one that can’t either forgive the wrong or one that puts the wrongs in archives only to be recalled when its needed as a weapon .

I believe we will only overcome the power of sin over us, by realising that forgiving is a strength and not a weakness. Forgiving is good to you, to the wrong doer and to God himself.

Love does not gossip about sin but calls out sin for purpose of redemption and even then, without destroying the sinner. When you act in true love, you are able to overlook minor offences, ignore provocation and above all forgive others.

During this season, won’t you reach out to that person who you wronged and ask for forgiveness, or you, who have been wronged please reach out to that person who has wronged you and tell them you forgive them. Its not worth carrying the hurt any longer. Let’s celebrate real LOVE.
