A rainy day

A rainy day is that day that you find yourself in trouble. It could be that day your money flow has stopped for whatever reason. That day your health is compromised. That day when age has finally knocked on your doors. That day when your idea has failed. Just that day!

The question I would pose to you is “Are there some things you can do to prepare yourself to come out of failure and to make failure to be just a route to success and not a finality? So that when failure shows up you can strongly stand up against it with confidence and assurance that you will overcome and come out of it victorious?”

And YES i believe it is possible. How?

Choose your friends well
Very few will walk with you during the hard times. So choose your friends well during the good times.

Learn to be humble during the good time
Have you ever heard that ‘Pride comes before a fall?’ Some failures are a result of pride. When you are on top how do you carry yourself? This will determine how you come out of failure. Wounded or still strong.

Build your confidence when all is well
This takes time and depends on many things. But work on it. Don’t allow people to put you down. You will need this on your day of trouble. When all looks like its against you.

Remain grounded
Don’t allow success to get to your head. If you do, handling failure will be a torture to you.

Always remember there will always be people above you , at your level or below you
Do walk with that understanding and respect each one of them.

When all is alright, know what is absolutely important and what is not
When trouble comes you will have to let go of what is not important and soldier on to the next success.

A saving culture must be part of you
If you are not saving when things are okay, you are coaching trouble for that rainy day. How far can your savings push you before the sun shines on you again? Even if you save 100/=, 200/= or 1000/= It will work for you on that day. Just save something!

Finally learn to put your trust in God in the good and the bad times
This sounds like: How best your character is, will determine how you go through the various seasons in your life. Have a great day and purpose to go for your mountain. Our mantra yet again is “Give Me My Mountain”.
