Free indeed!

Freedom is considered such a big human rights issue. We hear of:
1. Freedom of expression
2. Freedom of association
3. Freedom of choice

and indeed many more that are coined here and there. Our forefathers many years ago, shed their blood to gain freedom . This is how expensive freedom is to a man. It is priceless.

A man is prepared to sacrifice his all: life, property and family to go into the bush and fight for freedom. When man was created he was put in the garden of Eden with freedom. The only thing he could not do was to eat the fruit of life and death. When he ate it, his freedom was curtailed and he got the freedom to choose! What are we saying -:

1. It is dangerous to curtail freedom and it is dangerous to live in bondage.
2. You need the freedom of the your body, your mind, your soul and your spirit for you to operate at optimum.
King David said, “Out of my distress I called on the Lord; The Lord answered me and set me free.” Psalms 118:5 AMP
Without freedom honestly you will be distressed. That’s why we need to ask ourselves:

1. In our market place
2. In our homes
3. In our relationships
4. In our workplace
5. In our churches
6. In our Nation and so on

Are we operating from a position of freedom or are we distressed and oppressed? If we are, is it about time that we joined David and call the Lord to set us free? Is there anything or anybody in your life or around you that is causing you distress? Perhaps it’s time you cried to the Lord for your freedom.

God so much desired our freedom that when man sinned in the garden, God was willing to reinstate our freedom. And the only way to do so was to send His only begotten Son to die for us, bringing back our freedom.

The consequence therefore is as below, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV If God has set you up for freedom, walk in that freedom. If you have not yet acquired your freedom, trust in the Son of God to set you free. But no matter what, allow no man to put you back into bondage. For he who the Son has set free is free indeed, your soul your body and spirit is free. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. It is God’s will.
