Honesty and honour
There is this critical issue that has been bothering me. Why can’t people be honest? Honest to themselves? Honest to others? Or better still, honest to God? I guess there are a few of us or maybe many who feel this frustration.
1. You prepare a proposal to a big corporate and they keep on taking you in circles. Can’t they just tell you if it is a yes or no?
2. You discuss a business strategy and agree on a way forward in matters regarding sales, etc and a month down the line, nothing has been done. Surely! What has changed?
3. You sign an employment contract only for one party to ignore key fundamentals of the contract with no explanations.
4. You agree on targets only to achieve 20% of what was agreed.
5. I am even told some men promise marriage only for them to walk away when it’s at a critical stage.
Kindly someone help me here. Why is it so difficult to keep your Yes as Yes and your No as No? And if you can’t manage the task, just open up and say so. Could it be that someone is taking advantage? Is it that circumstances and goal posts change along the way? As an entrepreneur I desire to operate in an honest environment. It would make work easier for all of us.
What do we need to do to improve on this? Who needs to change? Change starts with Me, you and all of us. Over to you my great people.
