In the gap

There is one thing I know; God is not in the business of destroying His people. He loves us too much to do that. That’s why he sent His son to save the world. Having said that, He has given man a free will. To choose between the good and evil. And his choices will eventually have consequences.  But I also know He has also allowed them that He has called by his name to stand in the gap for Him to save mankind. Jesus did it, Moses did it, Abraham did it, Esther did it. Many prophets did it in the old days.

We can do it today. And we must do. Like Abraham, and on the basis that there are righteous people in this nation, we will negotiate for our families, for our nation and for our leaders.

If we do God will save us from this crisis we are facing. But today I want to focus on another way of looking at this. We are at a season where we must be compassionate than ever before.

You must show care and concern to you colleagues, to your neighbors , friends and indeed all humanity. Extend mercy to them that are desperate and release hope to them that feel like they have lost hope. Share your food with those who may be hungry. Stand in the gap for someone.

All I am trying to say is, let us reach out to each other, regardless of your social class, race or religion. After all we are all people and belong to one Creator. His name is God. Rest in the knowledge that God is there for you and he in the business of building and not destroying.
