Occupy until I come

When we are entrusted with resources, gifts or talents we must use them to bring out an increase, a prosperity, an improvement a development etc. This is an expectation from the giver of the resources.

This principle is mentioned in the word of God in the parable of a master giving minas(money) to his servant as he set up for a journey. Each servant was giving some money according to their ability. One 10, another 5 and even one got 1.
It was with this simple instruction, “Trade with this money and make profit till I come!”

On the masters’ return, each of them was asked to give an account of what they did with their money. Two had multiplied their resources and they were rewarded with celebration and more responsibility. One did nothing with the resources and worse he came with all sorts of justification of why he didn’t do anything. Fear, laziness, jealousy envy, were some of the reasons.

The consequences of this position was he was cursed and what he had was taken away from him and given to the person who had the most increase.
Moral of the story, whatever you have – big and small , work to multiply it for if you don’t, even the little you have will be taken from you and given to them that have better multiplication formulae. Talk of the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer.

At your place of work, take your level of responsibility seriously, work till you multiply and improve what you are given. As a leader in this nation, utilise the resources at your exposure to make Kenya better, not to malnourish us. As CEO’s of companies guide your people to increase the cake. Parliamentarians and all elected people , make the lives of people who elected your better. If we all do our part, we will impact on people and make all our lives better.

Our economy needs increased productivity not asking of more when there is no more to share. Look at the wage bill of this country! Surely wisdom demands a focus on increased productivity and not increased wages! There will be a time for the latter. Americans are there, Chinese are there and indeed first worlds are there. Reason being they have improved their productivity to a very high level. If we can’t join them, even the little we have will go back to them. That’s the principle of nature, like it or not!

So lets all review our position as we set ourselves new goals. What must you do to increase productivity at whatever level you are at today? We talk of eradicating poverty, and yes we must, the secret lies in multiplying the resources in your hands, not eating them up. The corrupt especially must desist from nibbling the resources!

Lets call ourselves to hard work and improve productivity. Strikes , go slows, thefts are not solutions. HARD WORK IS! Back to hard work great people. Remember to go for your mountain.
