Surely!

Surely do all things work for good? Many a times we look at situations and circumstances and wonder what is the reason for all the stuff we go through.  Some things are truly bad -:

1) The loss of a job
2) The closing down of a business
3) The separation with a spouse
4) Any form of death
5) The sickness we sometimes go through

Truly, many are the afflictions of the righteous. But then in the midst of all these, the word of God comes and tell us-:

“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” Romans 8:28 AMP

So on the basis of His word, we can confirm that all things work for good. But to whom does this apply?

1) To those that God loves and cares about
2) To those that love God
3) To those that are in His purpose and plan

This therefore tells me that if you love God and seek to be in His plan and purpose, even that which does not look or sound good will eventually work out to be for your good. It will be part of His plan, His purpose for you.

You may not fully understand it now, but hang in there, hold on to the faith. Soon you will understand it. And what do you do in the interim period, as you wait? Pray, praise, worship and thank God. But having said this, I can tell you, it takes someone who truly knows their God to say like Job-: “I know my Redeemer liveth”

That’s the confidence we need today. I pray that today you would take time and internalise how Great our God is. Then walk into the world with that understanding.  And because of whom He is you remain a victor and not a victim. Victorious over all the Giants you come across on your way up the mountain top. Conquering mountains, the GMMM way! Over to you my great people.
