What shall you plant?
Once upon a time, there was a famine in the land and the land was dry. So dry that there was no hope of rain. But then there was this man, his name was Isaac, Isaac under the instruction of God planted crops in that land ( the land that was so dry)and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. Genesis 26:1, 12 NIV.
My good people, I think we have found ourselves in a similar position. A dry period! One thing I know we can decide to plant a seed. That seed that will allow us to reap bountifully when the crisis is over. You can decide for example to;
- Sow love and care or you can decide to sow hatred and bitterness.
- You can invest your time in that relationship that was nearly falling apart or you can continue hanging into a bitter past.
- You can invest in increasing your knowledge through reading or listening to motivational speakers or you can sit lazy doing nothing.
- You can share your knowledge with other people or you can hold back.
- You can invest material things to the disadvantaged or whatever else you feel or think you can do, or you can selfishly hang on to what is yours.
Honestly its unfortunate that some of us will sit pretty and watch time pass by! The seed you plant now, will germinate into the plant you want to see as you navigate this season. Let’s go ahead and plant our seed with expectation. I believe! Together we can make it.
