When all is said and done
Unity is strength and indeed it is. This is especially so when you are facing a common problem. But to me what is more important is that when all is said and done you remain accountable to yourself alone.
Students riot together but when they are sent away they pick their bags alone.
Demonstrations all over town, but when tear- gassed we run away on our own.
Workers refuse to work well when the company goes down , each worker is affected in their own way. Political groups move together during campaigns but after elections we all go back to our individual lives.
And even when we die , we will face judgement alone. Out of all this my conclusion is -: as you do what your are doing in common, at times out of peer pressure, try to put yourself out as an individual as well. What am I gaining in this? What is this we are doing together? Mob justice is deceiving and so is communal acceptance. Personal justice is what it is all about ; Individual accountability is more fulfilling.
